SET 2011 – A Sustainable Environment Technologies Convention is Headed for the Los Angeles Convention Center

A much needed expo will bring together everyone interested in learning more about sustainable technologies, sustainable business strategies and what to expect in the future. Businesses, organizations, families, and individuals are encouraged to attend and find out how they can live and work sustainably. This is the first of many events to come.

Los Angeles, CA, July 15, 2010 --(PR.com)-- SET 2011, a Sustainable Environment Technologies Convention is scheduled to be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center on Thursday, March 31 through Saturday, April 2, 2011. Thursday and Friday are reserved for Business to Business Attendees; Saturday will be open to the public. SET 2011 is now accepting Exhibitor and Attendee registrations on the event website or by phone. Discounted registration is currently available.

Local, national and international businesses and organizations are being invited and encouraged to take advantage of this one-of-a-kind networking and educational experience. Brian Sherwin, the Director of Sales and Sponsorships expressed his excitement for SET 2011, “After working to promote this event for the past three months, I can see that SET 2011 has gained a tremendous amount of momentum. I would urge all interested parties to consider the numerous benefits of participating in SET 2011. Now is not the time to question whether or not sustainability is a pertinent topic in today’s world; it is undoubtedly the foremost concern on everyone’s mind. I look forward to working with each and every exhibitor and sponsor who decides to be a part of this movement.”

SET 2011’s Business to Business days will include a full schedule of conferences. Speakers at SET 2011 will address such topics as new technologies being developed, how to do business with the government, sustainable policy and legislation and many other related topics. All speakers are qualified experts in their respective fields.

A Business attendee’s valuable time has been taken into consideration and SET 2011’s hours have been arranged to accommodate busy schedules and to allow for valuable networking opportunities following the event day. Conveniently located in the heart of downtown Los Angeles, SET 2011’s venue, the Los Angeles Convention Center, is surrounded by numerous restaurants, bars and clubs, providing a variety of locations for after-event meetings and activities. Businesses will find that SET 2011 serves as a valuable tool for building resources and stimulating growth.

Pam Branner, Proprietor of HB Distributors, explains the need for an event like SET 2011, “There is much confusion, misinformation and lack of understanding regarding ‘green and sustainable’, and we need to work together as individuals, businesses and government to get answers. This only happens when there is a gathering of all these components in one place - SET 2011 is that place. Quite simply SET 2011 offers that single solution by presenting a unique forum with both business and public portions of its convention.”

Saturday, April 2, 2011 will feature a full, extended day for the general public to attend. The exhibit hall stage will feature informational speakers throughout the day. These speakers will provide useful information on implementing more sustainable choices into everyday life. There will also be speakers from utility companies explaining how to take advantage of incentives, rebates and useful tips available to all customers. “Throughout my employment, here at SET2011, my eyes have been opened to ideas and concepts that are sound and proven, in some cases, age old. As a parent, I would like to learn ways to ensure that this beautiful world is around for future generations. I am looking forward to networking with any and everyone who shares similar values and ideals,” shared Damien Echols, a proud parent and employee at SET 2011.

Online registration is now open. Interested exhibitors, sponsors and speakers should contact the event office. Discounted admission for Business and General Public attendees will be available until November 5, 2010. Discounted exhibit spaces are available; please contact the event office for details. Free admission will be offered to General Public attendees who donate a canned good or e-waste to recycle. The event website will be updated periodically with deadline and rate changes.

About SET 2011:
Mr. Alain Aubard, Proprietor of SET 2011, is originally a bridge engineer and architect from La Rochelle, France. After moving to the U.S. five and a half years ago, he started a solar power installation company. Realizing that solar energy was only a segment of the broad picture that is sustainability, Mr. Aubard set out to create a better way to help all of us move in the right direction. SET 2011 was born out of necessity; without unity, the sustainability movement could not progress. The SET 2011 office is run by a group of talented, ambitious young men and women, each of them passionate about our cause. They recycle, use public transportation, and drive fuel efficient vehicles. “It is important that we practice what we preach,” says Mr. Aubard. “If each of us would do our part, we can make a tremendous impact on our planet and to our future.”
