Denver, CO, December 14, 2006 --(PR.com)-- Baxa Corporation’s “Oral Medication Dispensers in Clinical Research,” is now posted for media and professional access on PublicRelationsNewsroom.com. Oral dispensers (syringes), long recognized as the safest and most accurate method to administer oral liquid medications, are especially valuable in clinical research where dosage accuracy has fundamental importance. This paper, written by Michael Hurst, RPh, MBA, Vice President – Infusion Systems for Baxa Corporation, is found at http://publicrelationsnewsroom.com/_wsn/page2.html.
Oral dispensers were the first Baxa product and the Exacta-Med® brand has been the market leader for more than 30 years. Exacta-Med Dispensers were the first device specially designed for oral liquid delivery only. Baxa also provides specialty dispensers for safe topical and vaginal medication delivery, and its Kwik-Vial™ Containers and accessories provide stability for liquid unit dose drug storage and delivery.
Baxa, a long-time proponent of hospital pharmacy safety initiatives recently launched its state-of-the-art STAR (Skills Training, Academics and Resources) Center for pharmacy and cleanroom skills training. Baxa designed and built the STAR Center as a fully USP 797-compliant pharmacy cleanroom to provide professional education on pharmacy practice, cleanroom principles and compliance to regulatory requirements.
The STAR Center, the only dedicated facility of its kind in the world for hands-on cleanroom experience and training in environmental monitoring and aseptic technique, provides a unique opportunity for industry professionals to learn best practice from subject-matter expert trainers.
