Rotary Club of Roseville Has Changing of the Guard
St. Paul, MN, July 15, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Loren Swanson will preside as President of the Rotary Club of Roseville for the 2010-2011 year. The year will be devoted to the Rotary International theme of “Building Communities-Bridging Continents” The Rotary Club of Roseville is a service organization with a motto of “Service Above Self” While funds and volunteer hours are given to many local and international projects, a spotlight project for the Roseville Club is the support of the Roseville Library’s Children’s Reading Room. Swanson will be encouraging Rotarians to use their skills and talents to contribute to the local community and the world.
Rotary, a humanitarian service organization with over 33,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas, has made polio eradication as its top priority for the world. Rotary is dedicated to making a difference in the local community and world through several areas of focus which include, Disease prevention and Treatment, Water and Sanitation, Economic and Community Development, Maternal and Child Health, Basic Education and Literacy, and Peace and Conflict Resolution.
