1on1 Boxing Fitness Fighters Make Amateur Debuts
1on1 Boxing Fitness fighters Daniel Cruz and Terry Perkins will make their amateur debuts at a Tempe boxing event benefiting Youth Impact Sports.
Mesa, AZ, July 15, 2010 --(PR.com)-- 1on1 Boxing Fitness, Mesa’s premier boxing and fitness facility, fighters Daniel Cruz and Terry Perkins will make their amateur debuts this Saturday, July 17 at Ladies Fight at the Tempe Arts and Education Center.
“It's important to attend small local events like this with no bearing on nationally ranking to give the guys an opportunity to showcase their skills and gain experience,” said 1on1 Boxing Fitness owner, former professional boxer and certified conditioning specialist Christopher Terry. “It helps prepare them for much larger events such as state and regional tournaments.”
The event, which benefits Impact Youth Sports, will feature 20 bouts of male amateur boxing and at least five boxing bouts featuring female fighters.
Cruz plans to showcase his compact, brawler fight-style, while Perkins plans to showcase his excellent footwork and unique style of boxing.
“Cruz and Perkins have been training very hard over the last year, and it’s now time for their hard work to pay off,” said Terry. “They both have goals to be nationally-ranked amateur champions; this event is the first step towards that journey.”
Ladies Fight Night kicks off this Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Tempe Arts and Education Center located at 2150 E Southern Ave. in Tempe. The event costs $10.
