CyraCom International and U of A's National Center for Interpretation Host Interpretation Expo
CyraCom International and the University of Arizona's National Center for Interpretation demonstrate continued partnership by supplying industry info and career opportunities.
Tucson, AZ, July 15, 2010 --(PR.com)-- CyraCom International, the Tucson based language services company, and The University of Arizona’s National Center for Interpretation (NCI), are hosting an expo presenting information about the Agnese Haury Institute for interpretation, the language interpretation industry, and current job opportunities.
In November 2009, CyraCom International announced the creation of 400 jobs in the greater Tucson area. Said Raquel Moreno-Blake, Vice President of Human Resources: “In the current economic climate, we are pleased that CyraCom International is able to continue to recruit and offer attractive positions to qualified candidates.”
The NCI is a leader in the training and assessment of interpreters. CyraCom awarded multiple scholarships to provide local interpreters with the opportunity to attend NCI’s summer Medical Interpreter Training Institute and hired many of the Institute’s graduates, as well as graduating students of the University of Arizona Undergraduate Major in Translation and Interpretation.
This recent event demonstrates NCI and CyraCom’s commitment to language access and their continued goal to increase opportunities for local interpreters.
The expo will highlight the growth in the interpretation industry and career opportunities. The event will be open to anyone who wants to attend, demonstrating CyraCom and NCI’s collaborative effort to support all members of the local interpreter and bilingual community.
The expo will be held on Wednesday July 14th at 6:30 pm in the University of Arizona North Ballroom.
