Summer Heats Up for WebTV Workshop as Heavy Hitters Slated to Speak on “Pro-Panel” Live Streaming Series

Hollywood, CA, July 16, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Hollywood’s first professional new media school, WebTV Workshop, announced the guest speakers for their upcoming Pro-Panel series in July, featuring Kevin Pollak, Amber J. Lawson, and Tim Street. The live streaming web series is produced by online media company, Mingle Media.TV and will air Live at 9 PM PST / Midnight EST on July 26 at http://www.minglemediatv.com/WebTVWorkshop.html while simulcasting LIVE on the iPhone, Blackberry, Android, and other smart phones and archived for on-demand replay through Blip.TV, Boxee, and Roku or as an iTunes podcast.
The WebTV Workshop’s Pro-Panel has featured topical interviews with top working industry Web TV professionals since launching in April 2010 including Streamy Award winners, writers, producers, publicists, editors and more. With more web series being launched than traditional TV series, WebTV Workshop’s program and live “Pro-Panel” series has proven to be an invaluable asset to the Web TV community. Over the past two months, the class size has grown and viewership of the live interactive, streaming series has increased from 8,500 to over 13,000. - Actor/Comedian: Kevin Pollak began his career on the stand-up circuit, where he achieved national success before going into acting in such films as Willow, A Few Good Men, The Usual Suspects, and End of Days. Pollak is no stranger to producing web content launching Kevin Pollak’s Chat Show in March 2009, which has won a 2010 Streamy Award. Pollak adds director to his titles for his new hit series on Babelgum Vamped Out, which he co-created and stars in the series with Broadway leading man and film actor Jason Antoon (Contact, Minority Report).
- Babelgum.com Comedy Publisher Amber J. Lawson, Lawson runs the international comedy business where she develops, produces, packages, markets, sells, publicizes, and distributes original series production and interactive programming across fixed and mobile. Lawson has been a past EVP of Branded Entertainment, where she strengthened agency relationships working with ATT, Wrigley’s, Unilever, Dice, Doritos, XM radio, Samsung, Chili’s and Nikon.
