Lubbock, TX, July 16, 2010 --(PR.com)-- CEV Multimedia, Ltd., a leader in providing career and technical education (CTE) materials nationwide, announces today that they will serve as the title sponsor for the Vocational Agriculture Teachers Association of Texas (VATAT) conference.
“We are so proud to be a part of this commitment,” says Gordon W. Davis, founder and chairman of CEV Multimedia. “We recognize the efforts teachers make every day for their students, and we are honored to have this opportunity to show our support and appreciation for all Texas agriculture educators.”
The multi-year partnership with VATAT reflects CEV’s unwavering support of agricultural science education and the educators who provide invaluable guidance to their students. Gerald Young, Executive Director of VATAT, believes the joint venture strengthens their efforts to contribute to professional growth opportunities for Texas agricultural educators.
“The VATAT is dedicated to its mission statement of preparing educators to develop twenty-first century leaders in agriculture through excellence in education, citizenship and cooperation,” Young said. “We believe the partnership with CEV Multimedia will only further enhance our mission.”
Aaron Alejandro, executive director of the Texas FFA Foundation, believes the sponsorship of CEV Multimedia, Ltd. brings together the recognized experience of two brands – cutting edge, relevant educational science curriculum with the expertise of agriculture educators who maintain a focus on today’s natural resources and classroom instruction.
“We could not be more pleased with CEV’s sponsorship and their efforts to equip our Texas agriculture educators with the teaching tools that will make a positive impact,” Alejandro said.
This year’s five-day event will be held at the Galveston Island Convention Center in Galveston, TX, from July 26 – July 30, where CEV will also be debuting new curriculum Pathways which address and correlate to the new Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS). CEV’s Pathways are currently being reviewed by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) for mid-cycle adoption, along with consideration for 4x4 graduation requirements in accordance with the Recommended and Distinguished Achievement Graduation Plan as set forth by the State Board of Education.
