The lean logistics operations provider will instruct lean supply chain certification courses this fall.
Atlanta, GA, July 17, 2010 --(PR.com)-- LeanCor, LLC has been selected to partner with the Georgia Tech Supply Chain & Logistics Institute (SCL) to offer the new Lean Supply Chain Professional Certificate Program. The results based certification is for all supply chain professionals who want to advance their lean knowledge and pursue operational excellence for their organization. LeanCor CEO Robert Martichenko and Vice President Kevin von Grabe will teach the courses over three consecutive months beginning this August. Students will meet for three days per month to complete the program. In addition, students will complete application projects between courses to leverage understanding of concepts and to produce tangible results for their organization, including:
- Reduced total cost of ownership and logistics costs, inventory levels, lead time, and space requirements
- Increased fill rates
- Improved supplier performance and accountability
- Improved customer satisfaction and customer relationships
- Overall reduction of organizational and operation waste
“The Georgia Tech Supply Chain & Logistics Institute partnered with LeanCor not only for their expertise in lean, but also in supply chain management,” said Carole Bennett, Director of Program Development and Marketing for the SCL. “We want to provide our students with real world logistics experts who possess the experience necessary to help companies drive lean in their supply chains.”
The first certificate recipients completed the program this past April.
“The Lean Certificate Program gave me the tools I needed not only to understand lean, but as a leader, to drive its deployment within our organization,” said Gary Roberts of Pace Setter Group. “This course was not only about the nuts and bolts of lean, but about how to sell and work a plan for implementation.”
