Mark It! is Talking, Hollywood is Listening

Perth, Australia, July 20, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Proving that you can do something new on the Internet, Mark It! Movie Reviews (www.markitpodcast.com) is a before-and-after marketing podcast that examines the pre-release hype and post-release realities of major International and Australian films.

Each week, industry insiders Jonathon Miller and Adrian McFarlane review a new film, splitting their podcast into two parts. The first is recorded before they've seen the film, where they examine posters, trailers, news stories, viral marketing and anything else they can get their hands on. The second half is recorded after they've seen the film, where they discuss the effectiveness and honesty of the marketing, how it affected their enjoyment of the film and what could, or could not, have been done better.

“[Mark it! Movie Reviews has] A unique perspective on the differences between the impressions one gets from the marketing of a film verses the quality and review of the film itself,” says FelixMeister, in his iTunes review. “This includes the effectiveness if the marketing campaign and any differences in the expectations and the final result.”

Adrian McFarlane is a writer/director who owned a franchise video store for over eight years. Being on the front line of the end-user experience he has been extremely active in the practical applications of film marketing and has seen his fair share of good (and bad) jobs done on great (and not so great) films.

Jonathon is a film producer and professional film booker in Perth. He works closely with distributors and cinema patrons, making sure the right films are seen by the right people. He has extensive inside knowledge on the way films are released and marketed and understands the pressures film companies are under in an increasingly crowded marketplace.

Combined with take-no-prisoners honesty and extensive marketing knowledge, their unique style makes Mark It! Movie Reviews a fascinating listen. Using iTunes to reach listeners from around the world including Sony Pictures, Mark It! Movie Reviews have the ear of Hollywood and with thirty episodes in the can, a growing subscription list from the US (over 60%), Australia, Great Britain, Italy, France and Canada and no end of over and under-hyped movies to be watched, they won't be letting go anytime soon.
