Thousand Oaks Philharmonic Presents a Music and Food Gala Fundraiser

Beethoven, Burgers & Burgundy July 25th benefit.

Thousand Oaks, CA, July 19, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Continuing a summer tradition, the Thousand Oaks Philharmonic (www.tophil.org) will host one of their most important fundraising events of the year: Beethoven, Burgers & Burgundy, on July 25. The event will run from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Proceeds help produce the annual concert series the Philharmonic sponsors, which features area young artists in performance with the professional orchestra.

“It’s always a pleasure opening my home to our supporters. Of course, I’m not sure if the real attraction is the delicious food we offer, or the spectacular musical performances offered by our all-star alumni young artists,” said Edward Francis, executive director of the Thousand Oaks Philharmonic. “I think the popularity of the event is helped by a combination of the food and the intimate ambiance of the performances and the opportunity to visit with the young artists during the event. It’s a little difficult doing that at a professional hall when the stage is so far away.”

Featured performers are Juilliard-trained and are establishing professional careers. Pianist Sean Y. Chen and violinist Betty Zhou will present solo and duo repertoire for guests.

Reservations are required and limited to the first 60 people. The Beethoven, Burgers &Burgundy dinner is $75.00 per person (students $25.00). The location is the home of Edward Francis, aka Marian Hall for the Performing Arts (Lynn Ranch area of Thousand Oaks). For reservations, and the specific address, please contact tophilharmonic@gmail.com or 805.376.2485.

The Thousand Oaks Philharmonic, a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization, offers an annual series of three concerts performed at Camarillo United Methodist Church and then repeated at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza.
