Headliners Comedy ClubSM@Fiamme & Cantara Cellars Debut: “The Grapes of Laff” a Four-course Wine Dinner and Comedy Event July 29th
John DiCrosta, who voiced two powerful bots in the movie “Transformers Revenge of the Fallen” returns to Headliners Comedy Club@Fiamme!
Thousand Oaks, CA, July 19, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Headliner’s Comedy ClubSM@Fiamme!, the only dedicated comedy club in the Conejo Valley, together with Cantara Cellars presents “The Grapes of Laff.” The four-course wine dinner features pairings from Cantara Cellars hand-selected by vintner Mike Brown. Stand-up comic genius John DiCrosta will headline the evening. This unique event will be held July 29th with reservations beginning at 6:30 p.m., and show will begin at 8:00 p.m. Jamie Alcroft, known for his uproarious appearances on “The Tonight Show” with Johnny and Jay, will be the evening’s emcee.

The four-course dinner features the following menu items and paired wines:
First course: Grilled Shrimp, onion, red and green pepper on a bed of baby greens drizzled with a chili sauce with both sweet and heat, paired with Cantara Cellars 2007 Chardonnay; second course of Chicken Marsala served simply with mashed potatoes, paired with Cantara Cellars 2008 Old Vine Zinfandel; third course of Grilled Rack of Lamb topped with an apple cider vinaigrette sauce and served with an intriguing garnish of fried onion rings, paired with Cantara Cellars 2008 Syrah-Cabernet Sauvignon. The fourth course concludes with chocolate cake drizzled with a raspberry sauce and topped with a candied walnut, paired with Cantara Cellars 2008 Frankevine.

Cantara Cellars
Cantara Cellars began with 250 pounds of Chardonnay hand harvested from family vineyards in Lodi, Calif., which produced 18 gallons of quality wine. Over the next five years the vintners refined their wine style, expanded grape varieties, and increased production, culminating with the opening of a public tasting room in October 2007. The 6,500 sf production, cellaring, event, lounge, and wine tasting facility is now open to the public, Friday’s 5:30 PM- 7:30PM, and weekends from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., or by appointment Monday through Sunday.
