Rock the Night Away with The Wedding Singer at the Orpheum Theatre Foxboro
Foxboro, MA, July 20, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The Orpheum Theatre Foxboro invites you to rock the night away, 80’s style, with The Wedding Singer, a Tony-nominated musical, which will be performed August 6 – 8 and August 13 – 15 in Foxboro, MA.
Based on the hit 1998 film starring Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore, The Wedding Singer follows the story of Robbie Hart (Adam Joy, East Bridgewater, MA), New Jersey’s favorite wedding singer until Linda (Erin Thomas, Brockton, MA) his fiancée, leaves him at the altar. Heartbroken, Robbie is forced to reexamine the meaning of love and marriage with the help of Julia (Brittney Santoro, Cranston, RI), a waitress from one of his wedding-singing venues.
With music by Matthew Sklar and lyrics by Chat Beguelin, The Wedding Singer at the Orpheum Theatre Foxboro will be directed by Michael Hammond, and music direction will be provided by Esther Zabinski. Hammond has also directed productions such as Peter Pan, South Paciific, Beauty & the Beast, Chicago, and Dreamgirls, which received 14 award nominations from the Eastern Massachusetts Association of Community Theatres (EMACT).
