Charlotte ASPs® Will Use Home Staging Skills to Makeover Teachers’ Lounge

Charlotte, NC, July 21, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The ASPs® of Charlotte International Association of Home Staging Professionals® Regional Chapter (CIRC) have their third community service project scheduled for 2010. The professional home stagers will be upgrading a room for the teachers at Thompson Child Development Center, 1645 Clanton Rd., Charlotte, at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 21.

CIRC ASP® home stagers will provide a sofa, two end tables and lamps, window treatments, and coordinating accessories. The ASP® stagers plan to use their talent and skills to create a space that will be peaceful, comfortable, and where the teachers can read, watch TV, relax, nap, and prepare and eat lunch.

Children served at Thompson have high-risk factors challenging their social, emotional and academic development. These factors include routine exposure to domestic violence, substance abuse in the home, mental illness, teen pregnancy, single parenting, unemployment and extreme poverty. The teachers at Thompson work very hard to create a loving and nurturing environment for these children and deserve a relaxing space.

CIRC is comprised of 20 ASP® home stagers who annually participate in IAHSP® World Wide Staging Service Week®. Though IAHSP® WWSSW® is a one week nationwide community service event held every September, the members of CIRC decided to expand their abilities throughout this year. In April, the group cleaned, painted trim, and replaced furniture and accessories in a reception room, and donated toys and supplies to Salvation Army Center of Hope Home & Family Shelter. Also in April, the home stagers donated funds to Charlotte Regional REALTOR® Association’s REALTORS® Care Day.
