Saint Joseph Health System Prepares to Debut New Saint Joseph-London Facility
Ribbon-cutting ceremony will offer preview of all new $152 million regional facility, which features the latest in technology and design.
Lexington, KY, July 21, 2010 --(PR.com)-- On July 21, Saint Joseph Health System will hold the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Saint Joseph - London facility, located just off I-75/Exit 38 (192 West to Esquire Lane; turn right onto Saint Joseph Lane). The hospital’s official opening date is August 19.
The brand new $152 million, 340,000-square-foot regional facility features the latest technology, expansive interior spaces, all private rooms, original artwork from local artists, and a healing environment with a small lake and garden on a 52-acre campus.
The new facility is nearly twice the size of the hospital’s existing size of 189,000 square feet (Ninth St., downtown London) and will allow for the expansion of several service lines, such as cardiology and OB-GYN. The hospital will reach more community members from the local and surrounding areas with its modern hospital, and continue its impressive record of delivering award-winning health care (having been named one of the nation’s 100 Top Hospitals in cardiology and overall benchmarks).
The ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held Wednesday, July 21 at 11 a.m. (1001 Saint Joseph Lane, London) to officially debut the new facility. London Mayor Troy Rudder will attend along with other city officials and Bishop Ronald Gainer will conduct the dedication service for the new facility. Saint Joseph Health System CEO Gene Woods and Saint Joseph - London President Virginia Dempsey will lead the ceremony. Attendees will be offered refreshments and tours.
