Bardot Music Director Nick Rosen Announces Record Release Concert Friday, July 30th at the Los Angeles Theatre Center
Los Angeles, CA, July 22, 2010 --(PR.com)-- A stellar lineup of musicians and vocalists is confirmed for Bardot music director Nick Rosen’s record release concert July 30th. The concert, to be held at the Los Angeles Theatre Center in downtown Los Angeles, is in support of Rosen’s forthcoming solo album, Into the Sky, which debuts July 20 on Porter Records nationwide.
Performers include musicians Joey Dosik, Marcel Camargo, Mike Green, Paul Cartwright, Tara Speiser, Danielle Ondarza, Michelle Horvath, and vocalists LP (previous Island Def Jam recording artist), Maiya Sykes, and Mia Doi Todd. Also making DJ appearances that evening are Carlos Nino (Build An Ark) and Frosty (Dublab).
Tickets will be available in person at the Los Angeles Centre Theater the day of the event for $13 as well as online at ovationtix.com.
Rosen’s debut album “Into the Sky” drops today nationwide on Porter Records. He describes his first full-length offering as “a musical celebration of the interconnectedness of all people and places. “Into the Sky” captures Rosen’s eclectic essence from jazz to folk and everything in between.
On the album, Rosen offers up an array of musical instruments including guitar, Rhodes piano, upright and electric bass, and synths, as well as his vocals on three tracks. Contributing piano, violin, viola and upright bass to the album is performer, producer and arranger Miguel Atwood-Ferguson, whose recent collaborations include Flying Lotus and Suite for Ma Dukes.
Chuck-full of melodic tunes, Into the Sky forms a solid backdrop for Rosen's musical journey. His show will feature material from the album as well as musical collaborations with some of Los Angeles’ hottest musicians and vocalists. An engaging live performer, Rosen’s mission is to inspire people while pushing the musical boundaries.

About Nick Rosen:
Nick Rosen is a multi-instrumentalist, composer and bandleader residing in Los Angeles, CA. In 2002, he played a pivotal role in helping jazz legend Henry Grimes back onto the scene after a 35-year absence. Rosen, a student of Grimes, also played in a band with him that featured Nels Cline (of Wilco), Vinny Golia, and Bobby Bradford. He has been featured on the front page of The L.A Times, and in many major publications including The Hollywood Reporter, Jazz Times, L.A. Weekly, and Vanity Fair. He is currently the music director at celebrity hot spot Bardot in Hollywood, CA and has shared a stage with popular artists such as Perry Farrell, Macy Gray, Esthero, and Sam Sparro. He currently plays regularly with Build an Ark, The Pan Afrikan Peoples Arkestra and his own Nick Rosen Quartet.
