Gov. Beverly Perdue Names Longistics Vice Chairman Pat Long to North Carolina Logistics Task Force

Beverly Perdue. The mission of the Logistics Task Force is to ensure that North Carolina has the necessary foundation to remain competitive in the global economy over the long term. Under the leadership of Lt. Gov. Walter Dalton, the task force has been charged with evaluating current transportation options in North Carolina and determining what needs to be improved and how. The group will explore innovative ideas in transportation and economic development that can help support the state’s logistics capacity, including public private partnerships, and make recommendations to create an integrated logistics plan for North Carolina.
