Los Angeles Business Journal Recognizes Two CPEhr Employees as “Women Making a Difference”
Two CPEhr employees are recognized in the Los Angeles Business Journal’s 9th annual Women Making a Difference competition for the corporate and community contributions.
Los Angeles, CA, July 24, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Two employees at CPEhr, a Los Angeles HR Consulting firm, Wendy Elgin, Senior Business Consultant, and Angela Showell, Recruiting Manager, were recently recognized by the Los Angeles Business Journal as “Women Making a Difference.”
The LABJ conducted its 9th annual competition honoring Los Angeles-based women who “lead by example, successfully blending effective business vision with a passionate commitment to positively ‘making a difference’ both in the business world and in the communities they serve.”
Angela Showell, CPEhr’s recruiting manager, was nominated for the “Rising Star” category for her success in growing CPEhr’s recruiting services. She developed a new recruiting division and forged an alliance with the City of West Hollywood.
Wendy Elgin, CPEhr’s senior business consultant, was one of the top ten finalists in the “Volunteer of the Year” category. Wendy volunteers for numerous non-profit organizations in the Greater Los Angeles area, assisting them with programs and fundraisers, promoting awareness, and impacting change. Her personal commitment to the betterment of our community and workplace has influenced the creation of a non-profit division within CPEhr.
