Lavendon Even Greener and Safer with New Niftylift Booms
Lutterworth, United Kingdom, July 28, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Lavendon Access Services has re-affirmed its commitment to setting the highest standards for safety and environmental protection by investing in a number of new Niftylift HR21 articulated booms for its UK fleet.
The new Height Rider 21 Hybrid all-wheel-drive (AWD) boom lift is the latest generation of power-efficient machines and can run on diesel, electric or a combination of the two. It also has a new system, called SiOPS, designed to prevent crush injuries.
Richard Miller, Sales and Marketing Director at Lavendon Access Services, said: “The HR21 Hybrid provides industry leading safety standards, with the added benefit of being environmentally friendly. We work closely with many large contractors who are striving very hard to reduce their impact on the environment.”
The compact, low weight HR21 is a two person work platform with a working height of 20.70m and a 12.60m outreach.
When running on electric, the HR21 becomes a zero emission machine that can work inside or out. When running on diesel, the ‘hybrid’ power system allows the electric motor to automatically assist the diesel engine, boosting the power available.
The Sustained Involuntary Operation Prevention System, or SiOPS, greatly reduces the risk of entrapment injuries by interrupting all machine movements if excessive load is detected on the control panel.
Richard Miller said: “With Niftylift’s SiOPS we feel confident that this investment supports our commitment to providing our customers with the safest solutions available when working at height.”
John Keely, Managing Director Niftylift, said: "We are dedicated to developing new products that offer class leading performance but are also environmentally conscious, reliable, and safe to use.
“The HR21 Hybrid AWD embodies Niftylift’s innovative design philosophy, and we believe represents the template for future hydraulic work platform design. Lavendon is demonstrating this same commitment to its customers with the purchase of its first order of HR21 Hybrid AWD’s and we anticipate that this mindset will continue to spread due to the example set by forward-looking companies such as Lavendon.”
