Greensboro, NC, July 29, 2010 --(PR.com)-- It's a party with a purpose! Food, wine, shopping and sisterhood - it’s all part of skirt! Magazine Greensboro’s signature fundraiser, Pretty in Pink. Last year’s inaugural event having over 500 items donated, skirt! raised nearly $4,000 for the Moses Cone Women’s Only Mammography Scholarship Fund, which provide mammograms locally to uninsured women. There are the same enjoyable elements at this year’s event like free massages, free food, free wine tastings and tasty treats, chance to win fabulous door prizes and a variety of cheeses by Cabot Creamery. This year’s newest addition will be fun, informative speaches from our sponsors, Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Kotis Properties, and Coley Cosmetic & Hand Surgery.
At the second annual Pretty in Pink expo, guests will have the chance to win cool door prizes and bid on silent auction items like a free night’s stay at a luxurious hotel, a fabulous piece of jewelry or a complete makeover from area salons. Or maybe they’ll walk away with one of 100 handbags donated by Creative Containers filled with even more donated goodies they bought at a fraction of the total value. All that and more await visitors at 1410 Westover Terrace Indoor Suite 102 & 103, Westover Gallery of Shops in Greensboro from 10 am till 4 pm, Saturday Sept. 25th.
Once inside, visitors will have access to forty area businesses all devoted to making women feel good – body, mind and soul. To make Pretty in Pink guests feel good even more, skirt! is providing free 10-minute massages from Kneaded Energy School of Massage. With more chances to win bigger prizes through various raffles like a $700 diamond Breast Cancer ribbon pendant from Mark Holder Jeweller or $225 hair and nails makeover from Spoiled Salon, guests will be glad they came. And best of all, it’s indoors and Free to enter!
Mark your calendars for Sept. 25th for a chance to shop, eat free food from the Westover Gallery of Shops Restaurants, have fun and support local women. It’s the best reason of all to feel good—it’s a party with a purpose! Special thanks to our sponsors: Moses Cone Health System, Kotis Properties, News & Record and Coley Cosmetic & Hand Surgery.
