DBI Consulting Participates in Start! Heart Walk as a Corporate Sponsor
DBI Consulting walked throughout Minneapolis in this year’s Heart Walk raising funds for the American Heart Association.
Minneapolis, MN, July 29, 2010 --(PR.com)-- DBI Consulting, a leader in innovation and business consulting, served as a corporate sponsor of the American Heart Association’s Start! Heart Walk. The annual event takes place in cities across the country raising funds for the country’s No. 1 and No. 3 killers – heart disease and stroke.
Joining over one million volunteer walkers across the country, DBI employees, family members and friends raised $7,900. Starting at Target Field, DBI volunteers walked three miles throughout Minneapolis. Money raised from the event will be used to fund research, education and advocacy efforts of the American Heart Association.
DBI’s president Scott Lien commented on the event saying, “We are happy to be a corporate sponsor of such an impactful organization like the American Heart Association. We take great pride in the community and customers we serve and this is one of the ways we are choosing to give back.” Currently, DBI focuses all of its philanthropic efforts on the American Heart Association.
DBI has been a corporate sponsor of the American Heart Association since 2009. Since then the company has increased its volunteer hours and monetary donations by nearly 50%. The effort is a testament to DBI Consulting’s goal of “bringing more heart healthy awareness to our employees, colleagues, and clients — as we continually raise funds for the American Heart Association,” said Lien.
