Success Stories in a Weak Economy
The Zweig Letter Hot Firm List of 175 high growth design and environmental firms was announced today by ZweigWhite for its 11th annual Hot Firm Competition.
Wayland, MA, July 30, 2010 --(PR.com)-- In spite of the worst recession the construction industry has seen since the Great Depression, there are still architecture, engineering, and environmental consulting firms that are doing incredibly well. The Zweig Letter Hot Firm List of 175 high growth design and environmental firms was announced today by ZweigWhite for its 11th annual Hot Firm Competition.
All 175 firms will be honored and celebrated at The Zweig Letter 2010 Hot Firm Conference and Awards Celebration at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in Washington, D.C., October 27-28, 2010. Bringing together the most successful firm leaders, owners, and managers in the A/E and environmental industry, this two-day conference and celebration is the premier event of its type for the industry. All are welcome to attend—winners and those who want to be—alike.
“We just love to gather this group of successful people from successful firms,” said ZweigWhite firm founder, Mark C. Zweig. “The energy level, optimism, and can-do spirit of these entrepreneurial leaders is like a breath of fresh air compared with all the negativity and failure stories we are all inundated with through the media. These companies can be successful in spite of bad economic conditions overall and an even worse recession in the construction industry. The people who run these firms are truly inspirational.”
To rank, firms had to demonstrate that they derived the majority of their revenues from the practice of architecture, engineering, planning, design/build firms or environmental consulting, through a three-year growth rate, in gross revenue, from 2006 to 2009. These rankings were weighted equally by revenue growth as a percentage, revenue growth as a dollar amount, earnings growth as a percentage, and earnings growth as a dollar amount.
