Dr. Leigh-Davis is a Legal Expert on The Mel Robbins Show About Lindsay Lohan

Los Angeles, CA, July 30, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Recently, Dr. Leigh-Davis appeared as a legal expert on an episode of “The Mel Robbins Show,” which was focused on Lindsay Lohan’s incarceration in a Los Angeles County Jail. Like Mel Robbins, Dr. Leigh-Davis is a retired attorney who hosts a radio show, which is called “The Real Deal.”

On the recent episode of “The Mel Robbins Show,” Dr. Leigh-Davis used Paris Hilton’s incarceration as an example, when describing the dire state of California’s criminal system. “In Los Angeles County, most people who are sentenced to 30 days in jail, actually serve 4 to 5 days. I mean most anybody. Therefore, Paris Hilton actually had it tougher than most, because she was required to serve all 30 days,” explained Dr. Leigh-Davis. After being questioned about the integrity of California’s prison system, Dr. Leigh-Davis expounded, “I am not in agreement with the way California law and prison sentences are carried out, I am simply explaining the reality of how the law is implemented in California.”

In regard to Lindsay Lohan, Dr. Leigh-Davis argued, “Lindsay Lohan is not precisely, receiving special treatment. Rather, certain precautions must be taken for her safety, because she is a public figure.” Dr. Leigh-Davis went on to elaborate, “Unfortunately, the reality in Los Angeles is: most people who receive a 90 day jail term are out in 12 days, maximum. Therefore, as with Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan will likely serve more jail time than the average similarly situated Los Angeleno.” In conclusion, Dr. Leigh-Davis elucidated, “Treatment is more effective than jail, but California has numerous problems and a lack of funds, which makes it impossible for people under treatment to be supervised and accountable.”
