Wing Dome Sets Fire to New Seattle Location

Wing Dome, Seattle's favorite hot wings restaurant is coming to West Seattle, and is using some creative alternative advertising courtesy of creative agency Beyond Traditional.

Seattle, WA, July 30, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Visitors of the West Seattle Festival were shocked to see a wall of flames flickering and crawling up the glass windows of a building on West Seattle’s main street, California Ave the weekend of July 8th. Said one spectator, “I saw the flames when I walked around the corner and seriously thought the building was on fire for a second!”

What the thousands of viewers soon discovered was that the flames were actually a shocking video projection that filled the storefront windows of the building, designed to make the building appear to be on fire. For a short video of the actual illumination, visit http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aecidn91wOk.

The stunt was designed and executed by Beyond Traditional (formerly GoMobile, www.BeyondTraditional.com), a Seattle-based alternative ad agency known for its stunning creative and out-of-the-box advertising campaigns. Their client, Wing Dome, a hot wing restaurant famous for its spicy sauces is set to open their latest location in the space this summer.

Accompanying the building projection are nearly 20 large hand-applied chalk graphics, strategically placed around the high-traffic footprint of busy West Seattle. The three-color fiery graphics announced TheFireIsSpreading.com, Wing Dome’s West Seattle microsite designed by Beyond Traditional to generate buzz for the grand opening. Once at the site, visitors can challenge their friends to Wing Dome’s 7-Alarm Challenge, take a “How Saucy Are You” quiz and stay updated on grand opening specials and coupons.
