About the Author
Author Captain K. David Josephson was born in San Francisco in 1952. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Real Estate Investment & Finance with a Minor in Aeronautical Science from San Jose State University. There he began extensive advanced writing training. Captain Dave moved to the island of Maui in 1993. He writes from his ocean-view home office in Maui Meadows, where he has the pleasure of viewing the ocean, Molokini Crater and the island of Kaho'olawe. Dave greatly respects the Hawaiian people, their culture, the land, the sea, and the sky. Captain Dave wrote his first screenplay, a Hawaiian based action film based upon Hawaiian legend and sprituality, "The Legend of Megalodon," after many years of extensive writing training. He then wrote another Hawaiian based story, a boy cowboy coming of age short film titled "The Boy Paniolo." Thereafter at the Society for Children's Books Writers and Illustrators conference Captain Dave was mentored by a New York Times best selling author whereby he was encouraged to write his first children's picture book titled "Topcat." Following he attended the Maui Writer's Conference where he was mentored by top industry professional writing coaches and mentors and was encouraged to write his own story of losing 90 pounds in 12 months and regaining his health, happiness, and ability to attract females again, hence "The Macho Man Diet" was born.
