Major Pharmaceuticals Announces Retirement and Transition Plan for Michael Redd
Livonia, MI, July 31, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Major Pharmaceuticals a leading national supplier of generic over the counter pharmaceuticals today announced that Michael Redd will step down as President on August 7, 2010 for personal reasons. Redd will be succeeded by Thomas Larkin, formerly Chief Strategic Officer of The Harvard Drug Group, parent company of Major Pharmaceuticals.
"This was a very tough and personal decision for me," said Redd. "It has been a great decade for me and I have made many friendships along the way. However, I am excited about spending more time with my wife and family. Major Pharmaceuticals is well-positioned for success. I remain fully committed to the company and will serve as a consultant in the coming months to ensure that a smooth transition occurs," said Redd.

In his new role as President, Thomas Larkin will lead all functions of the company, including sales, marketing, product launch and operations.

Larkin joined The Harvard Drug Group as the company’s Chief Strategic Officer in October 2008. Prior to that, he served over ten years in various leadership roles providing expertise to areas including sales operations and marketing within the generic pharmaceutical industry.
