Supporting Energy Efficiency for Families in Need
Wisconsin Company Deploys Software for Weatherization Assistance Programs.
Germantown, WI, August 02, 2010 --(PR.com)-- IDL Solutions, Inc., announced today the deployment of a software suite for managing projects that provide cost-saving weatherization enhancements to the homes of families and individuals in need. The projects, managed by community action agencies across the State, are coordinated by the Wisconsin Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) and funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act signed by President Obama last year.
A number of agencies approached IDL Solutions for help in making their weatherization process more efficient to handle the increased demand and expectations of the Recovery Act. IDL responded by creating the Weatherization Administration & Reporting Manager (WARM) software program. WARM is a web-based solution for capturing, tracking, monitoring, and managing information about all phases of an agency’s weatherization projects. WARM was designed with the community action agency in mind and is custom-deployed to manage projects, work crews, vendors, and contractors. The software program consolidates all of the weatherization data into one application, giving the weatherization program staff a complete customer view at their fingertips.
Among the agencies using IDL’s WARM software are the Hartford Community Development Authority (HCDA) and Couleecap, a private, nonprofit agency established in 1966 during the War on Poverty to assist low-income people of the State’s Crawford, La Crosse, Monroe and Vernon counties. From July 1, 2009 to September 1, 2010, Couleecap will weatherize 1,012 housing units.
"IDL’s WARM application will help Couleecap exceed ramp-up goals by managing our weatherization job process more efficiently. It is exciting to work with IDL on this project," said Lee Hoss, Energy Conservation Manager at Couleecap in Westby, Wisconsin.
"IDL’s WARM application has helped the HCDA increase productivity by managing our weatherization job process. It is a pleasure to work with IDL and this amazing application," said Tim Clarenbach of the Hartford Community Development Authority.
“We are very excited to partner with CAP Agencies as they get ready to meet and exceed their weatherization goals of making as many homes more energy efficient as possible,” said Baly Ambegaoker, IDL’s President and CEO. “We are confident this software will positively impact community action agencies for years to come.”
With WARM currently deployed at three agencies across Wisconsin, IDL is working on a new release of the software, scheduled for September 2010, which will add inventory and job costing modules.
