The Kumpnee Release Their First Single 'Under a Spell'
Sydney, Australia, August 01, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Sydney based New Zealand Hip Hop group The Kumpnee, have released their first single ‘Under a Spell’ from their upcoming self funded debut album ‘The Kumpnee Ball’ which is due for release in September 2010.
Founding members of The Kumpnee, Josh Gage and Ronnie Lavender have been steadily building up a base of fans in Australia and New Zealand over the past few years and have recently been joined by Gino Hawkins to make up the core of this 3-piece group.
Their sound can be described as a blend of unpredictable urban rap and soulful harmony. They draw on their life experience growing up in New Zealand and living in Australia, creating lyrical flows that people can relate to, combining it with electro synth live instrumentation wrapped in layers of melodic harmonies that make you want to move.
Their first single ‘Under a Spell’ is for anyone that has been in a Love / Hate relationship, who may have asked that question “Is it time to stay or is it time to bail.” It is available as a Free download from their website and can be distributed for non-commercial use and broadcast on radio freely without any restrictions or license fees.
The Kumpnee are currently in the studio finishing up their album, which will be released on CD in September and available for Digital Download in October 2010.
