San Diego, CA, August 04, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The 2010 Moms in Business Unite Conference, offering an array of opportunities to enhance the professional and personal lives of women in business, announced today that it has extended the deadline to submit nominations for three awards that will be presented at the September 15 event. Award applications for the Inventor Showcase Award, Mompreneur Grant and My Man of the Year Award will be accepted at the conference website through August 13.
“Recognition is a significant part of the conference, along with education and networking,” said Randa Cote, founder of SPE Solutions and Moms in Business Unite chairwoman. “Since we’re soliciting nominations at the height of the summer vacation season, we decided it would be prudent to extend the deadline to ensure we get the best slate of nominees.”
The Inventor Showcase Award will be presented to the creator of the best new product of the year, as selected by conference attendees. Five to 10 women inventors will compete for the honor by showcasing a product or service brought to market after January 2009.
The Mompreneur Grant will be awarded to a mom business owner with an innovative business idea who’s in need of capital to take her business to the next level.
The My Man of the Year Award will honor an extraordinary man who’s supported a working mother while she pursues her entrepreneurial endeavors.
Award applications are available at www.momsinbusinessunite.com, where information about the second annual conference is also available. Pre-registration will run through August 31.
