SloFunkPump Releases Sophomore Record "Jukebox"

Hollywood, FL, August 05, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Today, SloFunkPump released his sophomore record "Jukebox" with a new video for the opening track "Highway Of Song."

"'Highway Of Song' is a song of joy," SloFunkPump said. "It's a feel-good rocker."

The album was produced at Legend Room Recording in Palm City, Florida, and features ground-breaking guitar work and unique musical moods throughout.

"This record breaks new ground," SloFunkPump said. "Yet it still plays like an old familiar jukebox."

In late 2008, SloFunkPump released his first record "Orchestra" which has since garnered a powerful following on the modern brand of radio, the world-wide web. The indie-funk radio show "The Upper Room with Joe Kelley" regular features SloFunkPump in their playlists.

Jukebox is comprised of all original SloFunkPump compositions except for "Rusty Cage," a cover of the Soundgarden classic, written by lead singer Chris Cornell.

"Cornell is one of the most talented vocalists and songwriters of our time," SloFunkPump said. "My version conjures up the version that Johnny Cash recorded before his death. Cornell often dedicates the song to Cash at his shows. It's that tradition that I think needs to be carried on. My version is in memory of the life of Cash."
