CFOs 2GOs Partner- Norman Smith- Announces Developments Regarding the Reno, NV Business Incubator Project
CFOs 2GO Partners ("CFOs 2Go Partners") released an update surrounding, its co-sponsored incubator project, the Reno, NV Center for Unique Business Enterprises (“the CUBE”). In addition to celebrating its first full year in operation, the CUBE reported it was granted IRS Section 501(c) (3) non-profit status, virtually assuring it will continue with its mission to create jobs and business opportunities for entrepreneurs in Northern Nevada.
Walnut Creek, CA, August 05, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The CUBE celebrated its first full year of operation and announced today it was recently granted IRS Section 501(c) (3) non-profit status. As the CUBE begins its first annual fund raising drive, these developments demonstrate that, with the proper support, it will continue to be a source for the germination of new ideas and business opportunities in the Reno, NV area. The CUBE currently houses 10 start-up businesses.
As a business-incubator, the CUBE's main function is to create jobs by bringing new businesses to the area with its efforts to assist start-up businesses. Norman Smith, a partner with CFOs 2GO Partners and a founding sponsor of the Cube, points to the importance of new businesses for the recovery of the Northern Nevada job market. He cited a Kauffman Foundation study which said that job growth in the is driven by start-ups, adding 3 million new jobs per year, versus existing companies which are shedding about 1 million jobs per year. According to Smith: "We cannot depend on the government to generate all of the jobs needed for recovery. CFOs 2GO Partners is dedicated to facilitating the collaboration and mentoring needed by those courageous enough to start their own business in spite of the current economy."
Through the support of CFOs 2GO Partners, Smith serves as the volunteer Executive Director of the CUBE.
