What To Do About a Bully: A New Children’s Story Offers Practical Heartfelt Solutions

While the story focuses in on the problems that children face when dealing with bullies, it also addresses the pain that kids feel when a parent leaves. It is not only a learning lesson in overcoming fear and learning to stand up for oneself, it’s a book that provides kids with ways to build a healthy sense of self worth, especially if they see themselves as not fitting in or equal to others. 

Utilizing a most creative solution to the problem, Everyday Heroes shows that through volunteerism and fundraising efforts an effective stand can be taken against bullying and violence. The story also makes evident to teachers and parents the vital importance of teaching friendship skills. 

After taking an early retirement package with Verizon in 2003, and with two diplomas from the Institute of Children’s Literature, author Monica Moore embarked on her love of writing for children. She is a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers & Illustrators (SCBWI) and Small Publishers, Artists, and Writers Network (SPAWN). Everyday Heroes is the first in a series of recent pursuits, with work progressing quickly on other works-in-progress.
