Strong served as an editor for the trade reference department at Oxford University Press as well as the Children’s Vaccine Initiative and International Forum on AIDS Research at the National Academy of Sciences. She has taught in the English Department at the University of North Carolina (UNC) at Chapel Hill. Strong is a member of the Editorial Freelancers Association.
