High Court Appoints Greenspoon Marder Attorney to Committee Guarding Against Unlicensed Practice of Law

Fortt. Lauderdale, FL, August 05, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The Florida Supreme Court has tasked Evan B. Klinek, Esq., litigation attorney at Greenspoon Marder, P.A., to serve as chairperson of the 17th Judicial Circuit Court’s Unlicensed Practice of Law Committee “C.” The committee serves as the “fact-finder” in Unlicensed Practice of Law (UPL) investigations, makes recommendations regarding related litigation and assists in protecting the public from harm caused by unlicensed individuals practicing law. As chairperson, Klinek’s responsibilities are to administer and oversee the committee’s business, preside at meetings and act as committee spokesperson.

“Protecting people from unscrupulous individuals and entities is paramount,” said Klinek. “It’s important that this committee sends the right message through proactive measures.”

Klinek practices out of the Ft. Lauderdale office of Greenspoon Marder, P.A. His main areas of practice include commercial litigation, bankruptcy litigation, creditors’ rights, foreclosure litigation and complex litigation. He is a member of the Florida Bar, Broward County Bar Association and the Bankruptcy Bar Association of South Florida. He graduated cum laude from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Arts Degree and earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law. He was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1998. Klinek is an "AV" rated attorney by Martindale-Hubbell.
