Frankie’s Bocce Tournament and Italian Festival Premieres at Dover Downs Hotel & Casino Sept. 4 & 5
Dover, DE, August 07, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Dover Downs Hotel & Casino announces the inaugural Frankie’s Bocce Ball Tournament & Italian Festival to take place on Saturday, Sept. 4 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 5 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The bocce tournament courses will be set up in the Rollins Center ballroom in correlation with the Italian Festival, offering live entertainment, a spaghetti eating contest, refreshments and more.

The bocce ball tournament will be set up in four-person teams who will compete in double-elimination rounds. The entry fee is $200 per team, and the registration deadline is Aug. 25. The first 32 teams to register will secure a spot in the tournament, and the guaranteed first place prize is $3,000.
The general public is invited to attend the tournament and festival for an admission price of $5. Attendees are invited to view the exciting live bocce ball competition and enjoy great entertainment, food and wine sampling, cooking demonstrations, a food and merchandise marketplace, and more.
