Pacific Resorts Finalist in the 2010 HM Awards

Rarotonga, Cook Islands, August 09, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Pacific Resort Aitutaki & Pacific Resort Rarotonga have been named as a Finalist in the 2010 HM Awards for Hotel & Accommodation Excellence, with the winners due to be announced in Sydney on September 3.

Pacific Resort Aitutaki is a region finalist in the “South Pacific Property of the Year” category, while Pacific Resort Rarotonga is acknowledged for its environmental initiatives as region finalist in the category “Environmental Program of the Year.” These accolades places Pacific Resorts in formidable company alongside the likes of the InterContinental Bora Bora Resort & Thalasso Spa, Sofitel Moorea Resort and Accor Hospitality to name a few.

The HM Awards for Hotel & Accommodation Excellence are now into their eighth year and are the leading awards for the accommodation industry. In the last seven years, almost 3000 people have attended the HM Awards and more than 250 awards have been awarded to hotels across Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific. A record 1200 entries were received in 2010 and following hours of voting by over 20 judges, the finalists have been announced for 38 of the 42 categories to be awarded this year.
