Although this is Deborah Barba Eagan’s first published collection of poetry, she is an accomplished poet in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and she has been a reader of her poems at several past events in Albuquerque. Growing up in New Mexico, she was instilled with a love of poetry by her Hispanic grandmothers. She belongs to SouthWest Writers, the New Mexico State Poetry Society and the Albuquerque TGIF Poetry Group. In April 2004, for National Poetry Month, she was featured on the children’s radio program, Read Albuquerque. While she was the Albuquerque Tricentennial Poet in 2006, her poem “Come See Albuquerque” was published.
