New Website for the Over 50 Crowd Asks the Question: "What Was Your Defining "I Gotta Get Outta Here" Moment?"
Cincinnati, OH, August 11, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Are you over 50, and running an online business? If you answered yes, then a new website for 'Over 50' online entrepreneurs, SecondWindEntrepreneurs.org, is offering $100 for the best answer to the question: "What Was Your Defining "I Gotta Get Outta Here" Moment?"
In other words..when did you know it was time to leave that J-O-B and start your own venture?
We’ve probably all been there at one time or another, but the 'Baby Boomer' generation, have been one of the hardest hit in recent times with the loss of both their jobs and their retirement nestegg. As businesses closed and the stock market crashed, they have been heading online to start new businesses in huge numbers, and are rapidly becoming the fastest growing demographic online.
For more than a decade now in the US, the 55 to 64 age group has seen the highest rate of entrepreneurial activity and now that entrepreneurial spirit is heading to the internet in huge numbers. Unfortunately, finding a place to network online with other “Over 50” online entrepreneurs has been virtually impossible.
SecondWindEntrepreneurs.org, the brainchild of Cincinnati-based online entrepreneurs, Bob and Melody Schroeder, hopes to fill that gap.
"We’ve been working online for more than 10 years," says Melody, 56, "and about the only communities online for our age group are either dating sites or AARP! AARP is a wonderful resource - but it’s not exactly a place where I am going to find a good joint venture partner for my next product launch or the latest tips for marketing on FaceBook!"
SecondWindEntrepreneurs.org combines tutorials and the latest news on internet marketing techniques with both a community and forum for it’s members. The site’s whole focus is providing a friendly, open community where the Over 50 online business owner - or 'wannabee' - can learn and network in a comfortable, non-threatening environment.
"Most of us have grandkids that probably know more about computers at the age of 5 than we did at 45," says Bob Schroeder, 65. "But that doesn’t matter here. If you can manage to get your computer turned on and find the site in your browser - you have enough techie experience to join in!"
