DirectRooms.com – Art Collectors Head to Shanghai for International Art Fair

Shanghai, China, August 14, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The exhibition will consist of a collection of international art from over 1,000 art galleries, representatives and agencies worldwide. Art from more than 30 different countries will be on display, bringing together a mix of both foreign and local artists.

Each of the pieces on display are for sale, which is sure to persuade thousands of art collectors to visit and book a hotel in Shanghai.

The art fair has been organized by the Shanghai Cultural Development Foundation and will be held within the Shanghai Mart International Center.

Since its first exhibition in 1997, the art fair has played host to a number of masterpieces from world renown artists including Matisse, Picasso, Renoir, Chagall, Rembrandt and Monet. In 2000 the event included Rodin’s famous The Thinker sculpture exhibited by the Sayegh gallery from France.

Doors for the event will open from 10:00am to 18:00 from Wednesday to Saturday. On Sunday the exhibition will close at 17:00. Tickets cost 50 Chinese Yuan for a one day entry and concessions of 25 Yuan are available for seniors, school children and students with valid student cards.
