Numerous publications have anointed “I’ll Be” as the best wedding song of all time. Also scheduled to appear is one of the most popular local acts, Fondue Monks. Tickets are on sale now, $20 in advance of the show, and $25 at the door. For more information, please visit: http://www.batterupforals.org/slamals.

Founded in 1999 by native Houstonian Wade Simoneaux, Batter Up For an ALS Cure began as a dream of Wade’s and many of his friends. Currently Simoneaux serves as president of the organization. A graduate of St. Thomas High School (1994) and St. Edward’s University (1998), Simoneaux had his baseball career cut short when he was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig’s disease (ALS) in February of 1997, just six weeks before he turned 21 years old. Although the average life span of someone diagnosed with ALS is just 3 years, Wade is still here fighting and inspiring after more than 13 years.
