Toastmasters International Announces a New Club Forming at the Jennifer Diamond Cancer Foundation Resource Center in Chatsworth, CA - www.toastmasters.org

Chatsworth, CA, August 14, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Toastmasters International is launching a new club at the Jennifer Diamond Cancer Foundation Resource Center, 9410 Owensmouth Avenue, Chatsworth, CA 91311, to speak about your cancer experience in a safe and supportive environment. Communicating about cancer with your loved ones and doctors is an important part of the healing process for the patient, family and friends.

You are always communicating:

As a patient, you are communicating with doctors, caregivers, other medical professionals, friends and family.
As a family member or friend, you may wonder what you can say.
As a medical professional you are communicating with patients, other medical professionals and support teams.

Part of communication is learning to listen and understand. At Toastmasters International you will learn listening and speaking skills as well as leadership skills that will help build self esteem. Furthermore, you learn and practice communication skills in a safe, fun energetic atmosphere.

“Communication is the key to opening doors to new opportunities”
If you are experiencing cancer, or you are involved with someone experiencing cancer, please come to a special evening presentation about the Toastmasters program, and how Toastmasters can be the key to confidence in yourself and for communicating with others.

Toastmasters International was created in 1924 at a YMCA in Santa Ana, California to assist people in improving their communication and leadership skills. Today it has become the world leader in helping people become more competent and comfortable communicators either in front of an audience or one on one.
