Vinod (Vin) Gupta, Chairman of the World Education Foundation, attended the weeklong conference held in Paris and The Hague, Netherlands.

Omaha, NE, August 15, 2010 --(PR.com)-- This foundation is the sponsor of joint intellectual property law curriculum between George Washington University Law School and the Indian Institute of Technology (“IIT”), Kharagpur, India. This relationship is a collaboration of ideas and curricula between the faculties of these two outstanding law schools.

Due to the generous support of Mr. Gupta through his World Education Foundation and the leadership of Dean, Fred Lawrence, the Rajiv Gandhi School of Intellectual Property at IIT Kharagpur was established to meet the demand for intellectual property lawyers in India. Mr. Lawerence has visited IIT many times, also in March 2010, 8 students from George Washington University Law School attended a special seminar for a week at IIT Kharagpur.

As India continues to grow into its role as a global partner in Software and Technology, these intellectual property law experts are needed to protect Indian intellectual property and also explore the possibility of outsourcing and intellectual legal work from U.S. to Indian Legal Scholars. The schools construction began in April of 2006 and now completed, provides a world-class education leading to a Post Graduate Degree in Law, and later, Doctorate programs.
