Ecotrain Teams Up with ‘Sustainable Oroville′ to Create New Jobs in the Okanogan Valley... Improving Quality of Life by Connecting Opportunities

The author of the Ecotrain Green Career Guide Almanac was born in the valley and has a sentimental attachment to a sustainable vision for his home town.

Oroville, WA, August 15, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Kevin Pile, cofounder of Ecotrain Media Group, LLC (EMG), a centralized information resource group serving national green workforce initiatives, has aligned itself with Sustainable Oroville allowing his hometown the use of EMG intellectual property, resources and communication access. This relationship forms a supportive alliance between EMG and Sustainable Oroville.

Sustainable Oroville (www.sustainableoroville.com) is the first municipality initiative of its kind in rural Eastern Washington; gaining large populous interest, and political momentum. The City of Oroville is creating sustainable solutions on their own despite the economic challenges facing the State of Washington. The town is utilizing existing infrastructure to attract green industry and development that will increase jobs, tourism, affordable renewable energy and revenue for area farmers for a sustainable future. This vision was culturally relevant to EMG cofounder Kevin Pile. Because of his roots growing up in the valley his personal mission is to improve quality of life and to advance appropriate technology & information.

Currently, the plan involves a green hotel to accommodate growing business demands, and a biofuel crushing facility. Just like the Silicon Valley in the late eighties and nineties with technology companies, Clean-tech companies for the past decade have begun forming industry clusters to get things done in expedited fashion. What is happening in Oroville is no different. Oroville started with a concept, and now has several industries involved and 15 advisors. As more of the plan unfolds, and the vision becomes clearer; the creativity and ingenuity of individuals, and local business will start identifying opportunities that complement the new infrastructure. “My goal is to not only bring a hotel to the city, but one that is built sustainably and is a healthy place to stay. This hotel will allow more visitors to visit this beautiful area of Washington State, provide local jobs and help create more tourism and business opportunities which will then produce even more local jobs,” states Steve Morberg, co-visionary of the Sustainable Oroville project and project manager for the green hotel development.

Kevin Pile, cofounder and CEO for Ecotrain Media Group, added, “I am thrilled by Steve Morberg and Ryan Skinner’s vision for a sustainable Oroville. The variety and diversity of opportunity that they and their team are creating make them an ideal alliance for a national company like EMG, and our mission to help bridge information. My hometown roots are valuably reflected in EMG values and ethics of our everyday operations, decisions, and willingness to help. I would like to thank Steve and Ryan for their continued dedication to this project.”
