EntropySoft Releases a New Microsoft Exchange Web Services Connector
The connector is able to connect to mailboxes and public folders, has read/write capacity and supports all item types exposed by web services: Calendar, Contact, DistributionList, Message, Post, Task etc.
Paris, France, August 18, 2010 --(PR.com)-- EntropySoft, a specialist of Enterprise connectivity, released today a Microsoft Exchange Web Services connector. By making this connector available, EntropySoft is increasing again its capacity to provide easy access to information.
The Exchange Web Services connector can be used for Exchange 2007 and Exchange 2010. The connector is able to connect to mailboxes and public folders, has read/write capacity and supports all item types exposed by web services: Calendar, Contact, DistributionList, Message, Post, Task etc.
Using the connector, any third-party product or line-of-business application can retrieve, create, delete, and update all above items. The retrieval of users, groups and permissions is fully supported. All authentication modes are also supported: basic, NTLM, Kerberos. Permissions can be modified at folder level.
The new Microsoft Exchange connector also implements the EntropySoft “track repository changes” feature that enables the connector to detect and report all additions, updates and deletions made to Exchange mailboxes and public folders.
Finally, the “repository discovery” feature does dynamic mailbox discovery, allowing a single connector configuration for all mailboxes.
With this new connector, EntropySoft extends its family of Web Services connectors which already includes connectors for Documentum Content Server, FileNet P8, SharePoint and many other. This family of connectors allows a quick and no brainer connection with the repositories. With this addition to EntropySoft connectors’ portfolio, software vendors, IT Services companies and large organizations can seamlessly integrate with almost forty different repositories.
“Thanks to the 40+ connectors that we now have, we are effectively increasing interoperability between Document repositories” said Nicolas Maquaire, CEO and co-founder of EntropySoft. “By adding yet another enterprise connector to our list, we are moving closer to our corporate goal: connecting applications and people to all information.”
The Microsoft Exchange Web Services connector is designed to be easily integrated in third-party applications and exposes the same API as the 35 other EntropySoft connectors. It can also be used in conjunction with EntropySoft’s other products, Content Hub and Content ETL. Therefore, any transfer of content to and from Exchange is possible.
EntropySoft is a global connector supplier. It has more than 40 read/write enterprise connectors for unstructured data. The extensive support of features and the number of connectors available make EntropySoft technology perfect OEM material for many software industries. In the last 18 months, EntropySoft signed more than 20 OEM contracts with some of the largest global software companies. EntropySoft partners also benefit from in-depth expertise on the same content-centric systems, so as to facilitate the proof-of-concepts and deployments.
All major Enterprise Content Management Systems are present in EntropySoft’s portfolio: Microsoft SharePoint, EMC Documentum Content Server, IBM FileNet P8, Interwoven TeamSite, Alfresco and more. All connectors have been fully tested on large implementations in critical business projects.
EntropySoft brings Content Management Intelligence to its customers.
