Southern Tailgater Magazine Renews TicketCity Partnership

Helena, AL, August 17, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Alliance Will Continue to Provide Fans An Enhanced Tailgating Experience

Southern Tailgater has renewed its partnership with TicketCity and will continue to provide sports fans and tailgating enthusiasts with the ultimate tailgating experience. As the official ticket sponsor of Southern Tailgater, TicketCity offers fans opportunities to purchase tickets for a variety of events throughout the country.

“TicketCity has been a great partner for us,” said Chris Reaves, President and Publisher of Southern Tailgater Magazine. “We enjoyed much success in our first season together, and I am expecting more of the same for the 2010-2011 tailgate season. Our relationship with TicketCity brings value to our fans by providing one-stop shopping for sporting and event tickets. We give fans all the information they need to throw a great tailgate and then TicketCity gets them into the game.”

In addition to traditional print, internet and promotional marketing elements, TicketCity will work with Southern Tailgater Magazine at more than 20 events throughout the fall, including SEC and Big 12 football games, NFL matchups, and NASCAR racing events. The current schedule boasts more than 25 events throughout the Southeast region of the country. The tailgating events include everything from food and fun, to demonstrations and displays for tailgating products, as well as contests, prizes and giveaways.

“We’re proud to once again partner with Southern Tailgater Magazine,” said Amy Carpenter, Vice President of Marketing for TicketCity. “Last year we were able to connect with passionate fans in person at a variety of events and we look forward to reaching even more fans in the 2010-2011 season. Southern Tailgater Magazine has the same passion that we do for the experience of attending live events. And a big part of that experience, especially when it comes to football, is tailgating.”

Research reveals interesting facts about tailgating. A survey conducted among Southern Tailgating Magazine readers shows that a typical tailgater attends or hosts 6-10 tailgate parties each season, usually tailgates between 3-4 hours before the event, hosts at least 10 guests and prepares food onsite at the event. The American Tailgating Association estimates that more than 40 million people participate in the tailgating tradition each year.

“Tailgates are about football, food and fun. What better way to connect with our fellow sports fanatics?” added Carpenter. “They really get a chance to know about our dedication to customer service and the marketplace we offer for a variety of ticket options. In this day of online sales, the opportunity to connect in person has proved invaluable to our business.”

TicketCity’s exclusive partnership with Southern Tailgater Magazine continues this fall and is in place for the second year, with the option for renewal. More information is available from TicketCity or Southern Tailgater Magazine.
