Will County Boxing Gym Fight Night 2
Joliet, IL, August 19, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Don't call it a come back. The region's top young boxing talent was on full display at the Will County Boxing Gym on July 31st for "Fight Night 2". This amateur boxing exhibition was an action packed display of determination, sweat, and tears as the fighters showed the hard work and dedication they put into training day in and day out. Well over 200 attendees were in the building including the event's special guest, former NBA star and Pro boxer Kendall Gill. There were several exciting bouts and numerous matches ending with KO's.
Derek Drey of WCB fought Julian Montanez of the Peoria Rocket Boxing Gym. Winning all three rounds Derek Drey portrayed true courage and athleticism by delivering an exciting match and emerging victorious. Adrian Palacios of WCB fought Nicholas R. of the Knockout boxing gym. Adrian P. of WCB won his bout easily with a quick knockout in the first round. Larry Anderson of WCB also emerged victorious with a convincing knockout in the first round over Jamal Claybrook of Knockout boxing Gym. Eric Sanchez of WCB fought John Paul Vazquez of the Knockout Boxing gym, and Eric came out with a win by knockout in the second round. In the final bout Kelin Sharp of WCB fought Ronnie “The Rock” Rodgers of the Peoria Rocket Boxing gym. This fight was a battle and an amazing match to the end. The talented fighters fought courageously, making the decision a difficult one for the judges. In the end, Kellin Sharp came out on top and won in a close decision.

Joseph Awinongya- former prized professional fighter, named the "Ringmaster" by Chicago Sun-Times, is the owner/trainer of Will County Boxing Gym. He is helping many learn the art of boxing and is thankful to his former promoter Don King for giving him an opportunity to find his strengths. Now, he is giving that chance to many others. Will County Boxing Gym has over 400 members and offers boxing classes for every skill level. It is open to professional fighters, amateur boxers and boxing beginners. Mike Mollo, fighting March 26 at the UIC Pavilion with 8 Count Promotions, is currently training with Joseph Awinongya. Joseph Awinongya, a Ghana native, is based in Will County – Joliet, IL.
