Drummonds Expands with Acquisition of Industrial Property
Guildford, United Kingdom, October 05, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Gascoignes, the Guildford based chartered surveyors, has advised a private investor in the sale of 9,263 sq ft (860 sq m) industrial property, held on a ground lease, at Henley Business Park, Normandy to Drummonds, the manufacturer and distributor of classic handmade bathrooms for 950,000 pounds Sterling.
Drummonds will use Unit C Henley Business Park, which includes 1,566 sq ft (145 sq m) of office accommodation, as its corporate headquarters and distribution centre. The property has 17 car parking spaces.
Gascoignes’ Andy Russell says: “Drummonds required a modern and adaptable HQ and distribution property in a high-quality location that reflected its brand and profile. Good access to the A3 and the national motorway network was essential and the Henley Business Park property provided the perfect solution. The transaction reflects the strong underlying demand for high quality, modern, adaptable accommodation of this nature in the A3 corridor.”
Stafford Whitby of Drummonds adds: “This is a major move for our business, reflecting significant volume increases in our bathroom manufacturing operation. Drummonds is committed to offer exceptional service to its growing network of high-end bathroom retailers, architects and private purchasers in the UK and abroad. The new facility gives us the capacity to grow the business in line with our expansion plans, at the same time provide our growing client base with an even higher standard of customer care.”
