Of the new services, Tutors’ Alliance Managing Director, Valerie Kemp said:
“I feel that the new, expanded range of membership options available to private tutors will have a significant impact on the private tuition industry. For a long time, tutors and agencies have been crying out for an organisation such as Tutors’ Alliance. As a languages tutor myself, I struggled to find anyone who was able to give me business advice specific to the private tuition sector and it was almost impossible to obtain an Enhanced Disclosure while self-employed. I was mindful of these difficulties and they have remained at the core of my motivation in running Tutors’ Alliance. With these new services, Tutors’ Alliance is allowing tutors to become more professional in their outlook and their own businesses. Providing private tuition is such an important job that pupils and parents need to know they can trust their tutor. Having Tutors’ Alliance membership is the first step in establishing that trust for tutors.”
