Veteran Realtor Kris Vogt Named President of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in the Sacramento/Tahoe Area
Sacramento, CA, August 25, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, Northern California’s largest real estate services company, announced today that veteran real estate executive and Elk Grove native Kris Vogt has been named president of the company’s Sacramento/Tahoe region. In his new position, Vogt will oversee the daily operations of the region’s largest real estate brokerage with 14 offices and more than 700 sales associates.
Vogt most recently was managing broker of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage’s Elk Grove office, overseeing a team of more than 75 real estate professionals. Under his leadership, the Elk Grove office is one of the company’s top performing offices in the Sacramento region. Vogt’s agents give much of the credit to their manager, who has provided constant coaching, support and inspiration.
"Kris’ in-depth knowledge of the Sacramento/Tahoe real estate market, his deep roots in the community, and his creative, forward-looking approach to management and business development combine to make him well-equipped to lead Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in the Sacramento/Tahoe area,” said Greg Macres, regional senior vice president for the western region of NRT LLC, Coldwell Banker’s parent company. “We are fortunate to have someone of Kris’ caliber to lead our team as Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage continues to expand its operations in this very important market.”
Vogt entered real estate in 1991 during a slow and challenging time in real estate. At the age of 25, Vogt immediately distinguished himself amongst other veteran Realtors in his business. In a time when most Realtors were struggling, Vogt worked diligently to thrive. “The Elk Grove and Sacramento real estate markets were, until now, in the midst of the greatest downturn the area had ever seen,” recalled Vogt. “What I knew was that if I figured out what to do, I would make it. I just figured it out. I listened to tapes. I made calls. I knocked on doors. I honed my skills. Agents were leaving and I was growing my business.”
Within a year, Vogt became one of the most successful Realtors in Elk Grove and, in 1994, just three years after entering the business, closed 42 transactions in just 12 months. With the help of a few other hard working agents, Vogt and his fellow Realtors took over the leading market share in Elk Grove. Three years later, in 1994, Vogt entered real estate management and, just one year after being named managing broker, he grew his office to the leading real estate brokerage in Elk Grove.
In addition to his business success, Vogt is known as a dedicated father and husband and as a passionate community fundraiser. Most recently, Vogt was honored with Coldwell Banker Real Estate Corporation’s annual Thomas Griffin Synergy Award, a prestigious national honor that recognized Vogt’s steady, long-time commitment to helping a wide variety of non-profits and people in his hometown. Among the organizations he supports: Habitat for Humanity, Elk Grove Community Fund, Toys for Tots, Operation: One Warm Coat, Elk Grove Food and Clothes Closet and more. He also serves as a member of the board of directors at Grace Community Church and is an avid runner, often participating in marathons locally and across the country.
“I couldn’t be more excited about the opportunity to help lead this highly successful organization and its talented group of sales associates,” Vogt said. “The economy and the housing market have been challenging as everyone knows, but these challenges have prompted both real estate professionals and home buyers and sellers alike to turn to the strength of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage to help them weather the storm.”
Vogt said his goals for the Sacramento/Tahoe region include leveraging the talents and deep experience of the company’s office managers and nationally renowned agents, as well as continuing to recruit top professionals to help with future growth.
“Our local management team has literally centuries of experience combined, and I want to make sure we’re tapping their talent, ideas and market knowledge as we set the course for the next few years,” he said. “Our management experience is a tremendous competitive advantage for us and I want to make sure they play a key role in helping to steer the company going forward.”
