Mark Budwig of McKenna Long & Aldridge Named Top Attorney

San Diego, CA, August 25, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Mark Budwig, partner at McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP, was recently recognized as a 2010 San Diego County “Top Attorney” by The Daily Transcript. Budwig was a finalist under the category of Real Estate/Construction Litigation in recognition of his 24 years of practice devoted to construction litigation.
The nominees for the 2010 Top Attorney’s are determined through a peer voting process. San Diego’s best lawyers in private, corporate, academic and government practice were selected to be awarded within various categories of law.

Budwig has represented design professionals, contractors, subcontractors and owners in a wide variety of actions, ranging from simple mechanic's liens disputes to multi-million dollar construction and engineering cases involving hotels, pipelines, tunnels, highways, treatment plants, canals, convention centers and other large public work projects. He has handled virtually every type of design and construction defect case, including earth movement, surface and subsurface water intrusion and structural defects.
Prior to practicing law, Mark was a California licensed professional engineer. He served as a field engineer on a multi-million dollar project for a national general contracting company as well as a civil design engineer for one of California’s largest utilities companies, Pacific Gas & Electric. A few of his current and recent clients include the San Diego County Water Authority, City of Chula Vista, U.C. Regents, Traylor Bros, Inc. and Granite Construction.
Budwig holds a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from the University Colorado at Boulder and a Master of Science in Construction Management from Stanford University in addition to a Juris Doctor from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. He is a member of the San Diego County Bar Association.
