Charity Golf Tournament Raises Funds for Hope House
Shotgun start at 9 a.m., Monday September 27 at Eagle’s Landing.
Belton, MO, August 27, 2010 --(PR.com)-- TITLE Boxing Club is sponsoring a charity golf tournament benefiting Hope House, a local domestic abuse shelter. Called the Links of Hope Charity Golf Tournament, this four-person scramble is open to women and men, and will award condominium accommodations to the winning team.
Links of Hope will be played Monday, September 27, 2010 at Eagles Landing in Belton, Missouri. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. with a 9:00 a.m. shotgun start. Foursome entry fee is $500. The day of golf includes a light breakfast, three drink tickets and a barbecue buffet-style lunch immediately following play. Contests will be held for longest drive, closest to the pin and more. A silent and/or live auction is planned. Each player on the first place team will win a condominium stay to one of 17 locations, donated by Global Connections, a travel agency based in Overland Park, KS.
“At TITLE Boxing Club, we empower women everyday through our boxing and kickboxing POWER HOUR fitness classes. Naturally Hope House is a charity we believe in, one that also empowers women to break away from abusive situations,” says Tom Lyons, Co-founder of TITLE Boxing Club.
Hope House services form a safety net of prevention, education and support for more than 10,000 victims of abuse every year. Residential and outreach services are provided through two secure locations in Independence and Lee’s Summit, MO.
Currently, TITLE Boxing Club is accepting registrations to play in the tournament as well as sponsorships and in-kind item donations for goody bags and silent or live auction items. Details can be found online at http://www.titleboxingclub.com.
“Your participation and sponsorship will directly impact the lives of women and children in our community. I can’t think of a better reason to host and play in a charity golf tournament,” adds Lyons.
